Partners
David Veal
Chief Executive Officer
Sydney Office
David founded KV Aviation in 2009, initiating and managing the successful long-term relationship with KV Aviation’s founding investment partner.
In addition to managing the Sydney office, David is responsible for relationships with airlines, lessors and financiers in Australia and New Zealand.
David has been involved in leasing aircraft since 1988. From 1988 to 2002, David successfully completed over US$2 billion of complex structured lease transactions for, principally, aircraft but also ships, property, containers, telecommunications infrastructure and computers.
In 2002, David formed the aircraft operating leasing division of Allco Finance Group and was Global Head for the period from 2002 to 2009. During this period, he grew the portfolio to 68 aircraft of a value in excess of US$3.4 billion.
In conjunction with the sale of that business in 2009, David formed KV Aviation.

David received a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Economics (Honours) from Sydney University majoring in Operations Research and Economic Statistics.
Martin Webb

Martin joined KV Aviation in 2011. He is primarily responsible for aircraft and engine investment origination, investor relations, industry relationships and asset management in the EMEA region.
As well as overseeing the Dublin and London offices, Martin has played a central role in developing new investment partner relationships globally.
Prior to joining KV Aviation, Martin was the Founding Partner of Clearview Aircraft Investments LLP where he was responsible for the debt and operating lease financing of 37 aircraft, valued in excess of US$1bn.
Prior to that, Martin was Head of Aviation Finance at Alliance & Leicester Commercial Finance (now part of Santander) and was responsible for the construction and development of the bank’s portfolio, which at the time of his departure in December 2008, had a value in excess of US$2bn secured by over 100 aircraft.
He was previously involved in UK tax leases transactions across a range of asset classes including LNG carriers, commercial aircraft, helicopters and shipping containers. In his more than 30 years in the asset finance industry, he has concluded transactions with a value in excess of US$6bn.
Chris Barrett

Singapore Office
Chris joined KV Aviation in 2015, establishing a presence in Singapore. He is responsible for aircraft and engine investment origination, industry relationships and asset management globally, with a focus on the Asian time zones.
Before joining KV Aviation Chris was with Macquarie Group in a number of roles. For the aviation finance business, Macquarie AirFinance, he was based in Singapore and headed asset trading and airline relationships in Asia-Pacific. Prior to that he was based in San Francisco and managed the business’s capital markets, aircraft trading strategy, investment and commercial analysis functions.
Before joining Macquarie AirFinance, Chris was part of the investment team for Macquarie’s Special Situations Fund, based in Sydney.
He commenced his career advising on principal and third-party M&A transactions in Australia and the United States.

Chris holds Bachelor of Business (Finance) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Chris Waring
Chief Financial Officer

Chris joined KV Aviation in 2009 and is responsible for all finance and accounting activities for the group, based in the Sydney office.
Before joining KV Aviation in 2009, Chris was the Finance Director for Allco Aviation. He was responsible for all aviation finance functions including statutory reporting, tax compliance, management reporting, budgeting, cash planning, fund accounting and investor reporting. Chris also had responsibility for the transaction management team and information systems.
Prior to Allco Aviation, Chris was a chartered accountant with Horwath Sydney Chartered Accountants in the Private Business Advisory division.
Chris received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales majoring in Accounting and Business Law and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
Glenn Husking
Associate Director
Sydney Office
Glenn joined KV Aviation in 2009 and is responsible for the administration of KV Aviation’s lease portfolio and assists in the accounting activities for the group, based in the Sydney office.
Prior to joining KV Aviation, Glenn was Deal Manager of Allco Aviation. He was responsible for all aspects of the administration of Allco Aviation’s fleet.
Prior to joining Allco Aviation, Glenn had extensive experience in the administration of asset finance transactions as Senior Manager of Asset Finance Operations at Westpac Institutional Bank, and has also previously worked with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Glenn is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants in Australia.
Allan Rennie
Technical Director
London Office
Allan joined KV Aviation in 2019 to manage and oversee the technical activities of KV Aviation’s businesses.
Prior to joining KV Aviation, Allan was Director of Aertec, an independent technical consultancy. During his 30+ year technical career he has held positions responsible for all aspects of the technical control and management of aircraft and engines. His experience covers aircraft operation (including as an EASA Form 4 holder for an airline), operating leases, purchases, sales, sale and leasebacks as well as other ad-hoc advisory services.
Prior to establishing Aertec, Allan worked for GE Caledonian, Thomas Cook Airlines, Total Engine Support and Rolls-Royce Aero Engines, where he delivered technical and commercial control, risk management, and technical shop management services.
Allan holds a Master in Air Transport Management from City University London and a BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aberdeen University (Scotland).
Karine Brunet

Karine joined KV Aviation in 2013 and supports KV Aviation’s sales and marketing activities, based in the London office.
Prior to joining KV Aviation, Karine was Vice President of Numera Services, an independent advisory boutique. She was responsible for all aspects of the business development from origination to conclusion including structuring/restructuring of leveraged leases, raising asset-financing, structuring aircraft sale and leasebacks, arranging the sale or purchase of assets subject to leases as well as other ad-hoc advisory services. Karine also fulfilled the role of liaison between airlines, corporate, private or institutional investors, financiers and specialist advisors.
Prior to joining Numera, Karine was Consultant for Management Consultancy, Euro Log, where she delivered risk management services to major corporations in the energy, transportation and defence industry both in France and the UK.
Karine holds a Master in Management Sciences (majoring in management accountancy and marketing) from Paris Dauphine University and a postgraduate degree in Project Management from Lille University of Science and Technology (France).
John Hambly
Legal
London Office
John joined KV Aviation in 2012 and assists with the management of the legal affairs of the KV Group, based in the London office.
He is a former partner of the Australian law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques specialising in aviation.
During his time at Mallesons he was involved in numerous purchases, sales, financings and leases of Aircraft ranging from 737s to A380s. His transactions were for companies such as Allco and involved counterparties such as Qantas, Emirates and British Airways.
Chris Morrissey

Dublin Office
Chris has been working with KV Aviation since 2010 and has been a Director of the group’s Irish entities since 2013. Based in our Dublin office, he supports business development activities across KV Aviation’s business.
Chris was previously Client Director at Ocorian for 11 years where he managed key business relationships with counterparties involved in aviation, shipping, international finance, securitisation and other capital markets structures. With particular focus on the aviation sector, he was involved with a number of ECA transactions as well as assisting with the establishment of leasing platforms for clients.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and has a BA Degree in Economics, and a Master of Economics from University College Dublin.
Keith Anderson
Portfolio Manager

Keith has been working with KV Aviation since 2013 and is based in the Dublin office. He supports commercial and investment activities across KV Aviation’s business, as well as managing the corporate secretarial functions for the Irish entities.
Keith was previously a Senior Manager at Ocorian in Dublin, where he was primarily involved in the management of a portfolio of Special Purpose Vehicles across a wide range of aviation and securitisation structures. During this period he also provided administrative and accounting services to the KV Aviation group of companies. Keith has broad knowledge and deep experience in the establishment and structuring of vehicles in the aviation sector.
He is a graduate in finance and accounting and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
